AskNature Labs

AskNature Labs showcases a few of our favorite ideas that aren’t quite ready for integration into our primary tools. Your feedback can help us improve them. Please play with these prototypes and send your comments directly to the folks who developed them.

Biomole is an interactive visualization designed to filter AskNature data by multiple functions at once. The AskNature data set contains a hierarchy of functions, which we encode within different visual elements of Biomole; most importantly interactive data painting of functions allows you to search for functional co-occurrence. The movement of the visual elements is a metaphorical nod to the bio-inspired nature of the data and the uncertainty of the design solution space.
