Objectives

  • Readers will understand that biomimicry is learning from nature to solve a problem.
  • Readers will be able to identify several organisms that inspired inventions by humans.

Nature Did It First is a delightful introduction to for young readers. Seven organisms are profiled in the book. Each one is introduced with a rhyme that highlights its special traits and abilities. The following page then offers information about the natural history of the organism and how humans have mimicked it.
