Nucleário is a biodegradable device that surrounds and protects newly planted seedlings to increase survival rate. During drought periods, the Nucleário provides controlled release of rainwater, ensuring a greater resilience for forest restorations, especially in locations with high incidence of solar radiation. Nucleário controls weed competition, creates a pouch of moisture and protects the soil from leaching, facilitating the identification and monitoring of seedlings in the field. The device also has a negative surface that forms a physical barrier against leaf-cutting ants. The use of Nucleário’s products in the field increases the chance of survival of the seedlings and decreases the use of insecticides.
