AquaWeb™ is a modular building envelope system for food production applications such as greenhouses, indoor vertical farms, and container farms. AquaWeb emulates water capture strategies observed in spider webs and epiphytes. Epiphytes (including mosses, lichens, and ferns) wick moisture from the air and make that water accessible to neighboring organisms. Similarly, the AquaWeb acts as absorptive infrastructure for atmospheric water in the built environment.  Once captured, water is stored and distributed on-site to support growing plants.
