An online guide to the core concepts and methods of biomimicry.

The Toolbox provides an orientation to the practice of biomimicry and introduces the core concepts and methods that can help problem-solvers from any discipline begin to incorporate insights from nature into their solutions. The website is organized as a series of articles addressing key topics and following the Biomimicry Design Spiral. Downloadable exercises and worksheets help to facilitate learning and applying the ideas to a real design challenge.

The Toolbox was created to support teams participating in the Biomimicry Institute’s design challenges. It can also be used for general self-education or as a resource in a biomimicry course at the university level.
